Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 700g Chicken Boneless, cubed
- 30ml Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 tbsp Minced Ginger
- 1 tsp White Pepper
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
For the Gravy:
- 30g Light Butter
- 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 75ml Soy Sauce
- 75ml Water
- 30g Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Cornflour, mixed with cold water
- 45g Honey
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
To Serve:
- 700g Cooked White Rice ( 200g uncooked, roughly)
Method
For the Chicken:
- To the diced chicken, add soy sauce, black pepper, white pepper, garlic, and ginger.
- Mix well, and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
- Spray a frying pan with oil, then add the chicken, and fry until thoroughly cooked. Set aside wile you prepare the gravy.
For the Gravy:
- In the frying pan, add the butter and garlic, and fry for 1 minute.
- Add the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, chilli flakes, and honey to the pan, and cook until it starts to simmer.
- Now stir in the cornflour mixture, and cook until the sauce starts to thicken. If it is too thick, add some more water, until you reach your desired consistency.
- Add the cooked chicken, and mix thoroughly.
- Serve with boiled rice, and sprinkle of sesame seeds.
