KFC Zinger Burger

Serves 2 – 393 Calories per burger – 38g protein-44g carbs-6g fat

Ingredients

For the Chicken Fillet:
  • 300g Chicken Boneless, cut and tenderised into 2 fillets
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Egg, whisked
For the Cornflake Coating:
  • 40g Cornflakes, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Celery Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp White Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Powder
For the Spicy Sauce:
  • 40g Light Mayonnaise
  • 1.5 tbsp Sriracha Sauce
  • Chilli Powder, a pinch
  • Garlic Powder, a pinch
  • Smoked Paprika, a pinch
  • 2 Toasted Buns

Method

  1. To make the chicken fillets, add the chicken spices and egg to the chicken, and mix thoroughly, making sure every bit of the fillet is covered.
  2. For the cornflake coating, crush the cornflakes, then add all the herbs and spices. Mix well.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180c, and line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper.
  4. Dip the chicken fillet in the crushed cornflakes, pressing each side down, making sure it is evenly coated. Place on the baking sheet, and bake for 35 minutes, until golden brown. Turn halfway through cooking.
  5. While the fillets are baking, mix the spicy sauce ingredients together, and toast your buns.
  6. Serve in a toasted bun, with spicy sauce, and lettuce.
